Yea...at this point Trump might as well move on. The WH deal is far from idea but clearly better than what they originally proposed. I don’t understand how you don’t just take this now and then pass a bigger one with President Biden in Feb or March 2021. This is a decent bridge from now until then.

Because their real constituents(rich corporations donors) already got paid and are doing even better after this pandemic. They are complacent and don’t even care about sacrificing their own vulnerable members.

I mean McConnell already used it effectively in 2016. He held the Supreme Court seat until the election and ended up with 3 seats, deregulation, and tax cuts.

I can see him just betting on letting the chips fall. If Trump wins he knows Trump won’t give a crap about stimulus and this will all go away.

Anything else leaves him two months to cram through whatever GOP wishlist they can that their new SCOTUS can stop.

-if mcconnell shoots it down, not only does pelosi not lose anything, but the republicans look terrrible and lose the senate
-if it passes, great. all that money goes out to the american people. pass more in february
