the rona hit and both parties agreed to give americans money for groceries. their fridge and cupboards were stocked.

dems - those groceries are gonna run out. lets give them money for more so they won't have to worry about that shyt for a while

I'm well aware there is an election going on. In your scenario, it implies that Senate Republicans just learned about it a week ago. At any point in the last six months, they could have come up with a counter offer to the Heroes Act, but they weren't interested.

If they wanted to pass another stimulus, they would have.

There can't be a path when the people you're negotiating with don't want to negotiate in the first place. I mean you're dealing with people that didn't take this virus seriously in the first place so how do you navigate that?

Pelosi is doing her job. She's passed two bills and is continuing to negotiate with the executive branch.

If they would have taken her up on negotiations earlier they'd already have a bill passed.
