Another thing that really irks me is that they’re always rushing to complete bills/laws with very little public debate and oversight

Republicans are also blatantly sabotaging the economy and country at large

For this stimulus. Every single penny of that 900B should be going to the people.

For this stimulus you get none of that extra stuff they always add like, PPE, UI, etc. You can split that 900-1T to 4-5k per adult and child. A family of 4 getting 20k, they should be able to stretch it for 3-5 months.

The general public never hears that the GOP is the one sandbagging covid relief.

All they ever hear on the 2 minutes of news they might ingest every day on their ride into work is that Congress can't come to a consensus. The Dems get as much blame as Republicans if all you ever listen to is corporate news media.

And the Dems do an awful job at telling the public their side of the story, while Republicans have an entire news channel that is dedicated to spread their right wing propaganda.

Dem stupid af if they get this finessed into tying the hands of the fed lmao. Yes the Fed is terrible at getting money to normal people, that's by design though. But they are crucial in keeping the economy stable. Wanna see shyt get sour, up interest rates and don't let the Fed purchase assets .

If the fed had the ability to digitally give money to citizens shyt would be easy. However, that's congresses mandate. Fed can't give people a stimulus check and the structure that would enable the fed to drop helicopter money onto mainstream small businesses simply do not exist atm. That needs to be worked on.


However, atm Dems gotta pump fake, walk away, and try to win the messaging war. Hopefully come back to the table before the Georgia races.
