Yeah, issue for Mitch is that the Dem UC is "just add 2K with no other bullshyt." The GOP is going to do a UC that gets arcane about it and tries to add shyt to the request. That doesn't work by comparison.

I agree completely, which is what I try to do.
However, you also owe it yourself to not be ignorant of the world you live.
Mos def, but that's almost like speaking from a place of privilege because a lot of people want to do better, but don't even know where to start. Or simply don't have the "skills / discipline", to get there on their own.
It's easy for a lot of us Ivory Tower cats, to get on here and say people should know better, but the reality is, not everyone had that stable environment growing up, which made it possible to thrive, learn and apply rudimentary stuff.

Family, I understand what you are saying.
But we learned civics in middle school. My middle school was low achieving that it closed down. While I’m upset at someone not knowing the difference between the houses in this nation’s legislature, Im more upset that people are allowed to pass through schooling without knowing that.
You can not be aware of who Chuck Schumer or Mitch McConnell is if you don’t live in those states, but if you don’t know about the work those bodies of legislatures do, that means it’s a failure of American education.
That isn’t Ivory Tower stuff.
