They won't be able to send out payments to everyone. Basically, if you don't get a direct payment, you can claim it as a credit when you do your taxes. However, if you end up owing money, all that credit will do is be applied to what you owe.

And I know people that got unemployment and didn't have the taxes taken out. They are gonna end up owing the IRS, and not get anything, if they don't get that direct payment before the 15th of this month.


This was the worst possible time to do this too by the way. The first stimulus came towards the end of the tax season. This 2nd stimulus is happening right before the start of it, so the IRS will be swamped with other shyt.

Previous post was wrong thread, but today's events put things into perspective.

With the new Senate going through, and with the the breach, do more moderate Rs flip just to distance from Trump a bit? Might be able to stuff more stimulus stuff through IF that's the case.

Hold on. So I have to file my taxes in order to get it when they clearly have my account information from the first one...What kind of incompetence is this or is it an endgame I am missing out on?

It was seemingly a clerical error it seems on the IRS's part, but H&R Block actively helped solve the problem which got their customers their deposits, while Turbo Tax originally kinda just threw their hands in the air and said it's not our problem. Social media was rightfully so roasting the fukk out of them and there were plenty of pledges to not use their services this year....
