I'd agree with this second part, maybe he became good in TNA ( I wasn't watching), but prior to the full on crow sting, I'd have trouble thinking of anyone cornier. He was a corny, surfer, worse at promos version of Cena.

I watched a bunch of Nitro's from 96 in a row recently, and the promo he gives after the 96 bash at the beach is beyond bad. If someone told me that promo was the reason they got him to stop talking for a year, I'd believe them

I think his mic work kind of fit him perfect.Not too flashy.Just like a regular person on the mic.I think thats why the fans loved him so much cuz he kind of seemed like a real guy.
