This is actually looking true. Photos even leaked of special ring attire that the WWE made for Stink in case he makes the jump.

Sting in the WWE would be EPIC -don't let anybody fool you. I would go out of my way to catch him at a house show or a PPV if I would get the opportunity. I get the whole he's one of the few that has stayed away from Vince and the WWE - but if it was done on his terms - it would be a win for everybody involved.

the way to do it would be to do it like they introduced fandango...just teaser after teaser and promo after promo until a WM debut where he would get a monster pop...or have him win the rumble as a surprise entrant and make him vs taker be the main event...either way, there is something there and could work if done right..i dont see creative having the long term writing skills to keep the momentum much after that though..maybe theyd just have him sit out for a while after the match with taker.

After the time period when this poster came and passed I gave up on Sting ever coming to the WWE

Don't know what Sting could provide at his age, Lord knows I am dying to see him return as the muted Crowd Sting. A match with Undertaker at WM won't do justice as we know he wouldn't win - coupled with the fact that outside of the initial intros/epic staredown that shyt would be 
What I would rather see is Undertaker in a program going into WM. No promos of Sting or anything, regardless if we know he signed. Taker gets outnumbered at some point in the match and that's where the lights go off and dude drops down from a Copter or comes through the crowd with his OG Crow Sting music (Eagle in hand).
That pop would be nothing short of insanity
He cleans house with his trusty Louisville slugger and helps Taker get the W. That closing moment alone would be

Only way I see this working is against Taker and a slow build to a WM match.
Have Taker keep catching beatdowns from the Shield until Sting saves him.
Taker sticks out his hand, Sting points his bat.
Crow Sting is the best way to go, but they'd have to figure out a way to build him and Taker without Sting talking (Sting is horrible on the mic to me).
Either way, I'm excited about this.
Rumble season should be good if Batista and Sting are on the horizon.
