But he's done that before, though. :dwillhuh: The segments with Lana & Rusev, him coming out and saving Cena from the This Is your Life rehash, The Mania Segment with Hogan and Austen when he was out there for about 10-15, ect. He obviously has no problem doing the short segs. It just feels like the segment was tacked on for no real reason, probably to wear the audience down before the Main Event with the rest of the show if you buy into the conspiracy theories.
To be clear..I meant he wasn't flying to Mania for no little 15 minute flip..

Not a real fair or accurate assesment from Steve. By the time Rock came out they had sat through HOURS of the show already.

Doubt Rock drained the crowd. If anything he spiked it back up. Crowd popped big for his entrance and when he ripped off the gear for his quick match. And for those that are confused, the history making portion of Rocks segment that night was having the quickest WWE match at mania.

Also kill the Wyatts were buried talk. More of you using these industy terms in the wrong context. The segment was just a way to get Rock and to a lesser extent Cena on the show. They could have cut the first half of it sure but other than that, it was fine.

Steve is one to talk though. His entire 2005-2009 run was nothing but long segments much like Rock. Mania 21 with Piper. His McMahon family segment on raw in 2005. Beer contest with JBL in 2006. Etc.

But he was asked a question and have an answer. They asked what was Rocks lamest segment and he gave that as an answer.

Lol...it didn't hurt them? Yikes. The crowd definitely was louder for the fake match announcement in the Rock segment than the whole New Day squash.
Dude stone cold got the loudest pop of the night. Fan reports say it. YouTube videos from fans show it. They were in Texas. Austin easily had a louder pop this night.

I think Kane still has the record for shortest Mania match...
