PWInsider.com (via WrestleZone) reports that the feeling backstage amongst the wrestlers is that WWE officials are not in any hurry to bring Daniel Bryan back into the main event scene when he returns, noting that top level guys like John Cena and Triple H would never be brought back just to appear on a PPV pre-show (WWE announced last week that Bryan would return at Money in the Bank as part of the pre-show).

Some WWE officials apparently believe that Bryan's bubble has popped and that he got injured when WWE needed him the most. This has made some officials hesitant to throw him back in the main event scene when he returns. Many point to the fact that Bryan was originally scheduled to face Sheamus at WrestleMania and only was pushed because CM Punk quit.

I always thought that, when Dbry announced he was injured they would use that as an excuse to keep him out the main event scene... But at the sametime how can you say he got injured when they needed him most, like he did that on purpose, like he wasnt doing what they told him to do.. They can try to slip him down the ranks but his reaction is going to be even bigger and they are still not going to be able to ignore him, they have until he comes back to put the title on their favorites..

well they need to figure out how to equate what the crowd reacts to and ways to make money off it... cena merch sales because he has like 6 different pieces that change every few months. all bryan has is a t-shirt, and he never had a real title run who knows how big he could have been, he needs to shave that beard tho, thats not face of the company material... you really think because of fan reaction they'll give dbry the belt back ? They just created 3 new young home grown (to a degree since Seth and dean aren't playing their Indy characters ) main eventers in the time Bryan was gone . Whether it's fair or not they are going to look at that neck injury as a risk and a excuse to not push him as hard . Remember he wasn't selling merch or pushing house ticket sales or anything ( according to Bryan himself ) he just had a catchy chant and can wrestle was wwe thinking . Wwe put the machine behind him to a degree and they just going to view that as they can put the machine behind a lot of people to get them over
