You have to have faith in anything you believe is “real.”. You put faith in science to answer existential questions. I think that is super narrow minded. You’re a blind follower of science, like the blind followers of Christianity. You’re using the wrong tools. When you understand the consciousness of existence, you will look at things differently. Why would you use science to understand something faith based? It’s not useful and is illogical. Science is but one viewpoint in the infinite world. There are many, many different and valuable viewpoints.

Disagree. Our planet is relatively small so of course we stay in conflict with each other. Now compare that to the massive distance you would have to travel from one star system to the next. We are talking billions of miles. A race that has that type of technology isn't going to waste it by flying millions of miles to swat at gnats. The universe as we know it is massive so chances are they would travel to discover new worlds and life forms just like we would if we were in possession of such tech.

They wouldn't travel that distance to just say hello and neither would we.

You know at one point the distance between Spain and the America's was so vast people couldn't fathom traveling that far, so much so that they thought you would simply fall off the Earth if you tried. When those people discovered the Americas they didn't just say hello, they immediately started taking as much as they could, signaled for the cavalry back home to hurry up and come so they could take more, and proceeded to kill and take advantage of the native population. It would be the same thing happening to us only worse.

In my opinion aliens exist, but not in the form of little green men flying around in silver discs. Thats just some Hollywood/mainstream media nonsense.

I watched a documentary a while back (can't remember the name) and it basically put the theory across that if aliens existed then they would more than likely just be weird variations of animals we have on this planet, new species or hybrid species that are part dinosaur part something else. So far thats the most logical theory IMO

Mars is the most likely... Nothing yet.. No other actual planet has life. The other rocky planets would melt steel on the surface.

The rest of the planets are HUGE ass balls of gas. No surface to even land on. The gravity would tear you apart if you got anywhere near one.

A problem I have with the alien haters is they also make a whole long of assumptions. Like linear or exponential progression of technology. It could be that there are certain discoveries that cause sparks of technological advancement. Fire, the wheel, sailing ships, computers. I bet a historian could analyze history and come up with the 10-20 inventions that caused technology to boom, then things plateau off for awhile until the next discovery. And, if you don't make the next big discovery you don't become a space faring race. And, if you get hit with a giant asteroid, you go backwards for a few million years (or get wiped out).

Just a lot of variables out there. HOnestly, any space faring race will have to have discoveries we don't have. I doubt we'll ever be able to create generation ships that can travel for 100,000 years to the next star system using solar sails, rockets, or ion thrusters; so it could be that every intelligent race is ultimately locked to their own solar system.

People need to get the warp speed thing out of their heads. Pushing a physical object light years another star would take more time than modern humans have been alive. And we'd have to invent some miraculous tech that we haven't even thought of yet. We'd have to propel a planetoid that people could live on for.. 100K years is the type of number that sounds realistic.
