Depends. One thing is for sure, when you are down and out and cant get a leg up in your career, being unemployed is much more harsh on you than having a shyt job. In that case, I would say hail mary some applications and resumes to some well paying shyt thats out of your field, and take anything you can in the meantime just to kill time. Whats most important though is that you dont get complacent, even when you just have "jobs". See another thats closer and pays a bit more? Might be worth leaving the coworkers you actually vibe with to go get that extra bread.

You gotta be ready to jump fences at any time, cause thats how that shyt kinda goes. You get opportunities in bunches sometimes and dont know where to go. If it aint a career move, just make it a convenience move. Getting a commute job that grinds you monday through friday might suck, but it can also give you time to work on your business stuff, better than volatile retail or service work will. Just switch things up every few months and you can acquire skills and contacts to put you in a better place. Nobody is impressed if you stayed in a place cleaning toilets for two years, but if you can do that part time and hold other jobs, at least you have a job history and possible reference to go off of.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever read...

I mean I understand taking a job outside of your field (as I'm doing now) to pay the bills while still putting in resumes and building yourself for your eventual career but to keep working dead end jobs that I hate for the rest of my life....on purpose!

I may as well die now...that's no way to live.

Show up early and stay late is the only thing I object too

I show up for the hours in which you're being paid for
:francis:The amount of jobs where I turned down extra hours is off the chain.

If you schedule me from this to this, thats all im doing. Call me in on my day off?:dahell:
Nah, b. Next time schedule me.
