What he was saying in essence is the fact that people care about Kanye because he's more like us than other music artists. He just made it big and he has exposed a part of himself that we detest and at the same he has shown us what we are capable of becoming, the good, bad and ugly.

Actually it's pretty impressive that more of these artists aren't some sort of tragic tale.
