What's funny is that he uses the acronyms DEI and Woke to illustrate his point, which actually destroys his argument. If legitimate terms like DEI and Woke, that aren't inherent slurs can be turned into slurs, then any word or acronym associated with Black people can be turned into a slur. The problem is the intent behind the words being used, not the words.

it doesn't invalidate his point that the origin of how those came to be slurs is not the same. the association is what matters.

I kinda disagree. People aren't calling every young black breh a YN. You have to have certain characteristics, such as the Sheisty mask, sagging in skinny jeans with your whole ass out, walking around with a stick on display, etc.

Open and shut case.

The only black teenage boys I've seen called YN had the sagging skinny jeans, sheisty mask, and hoody in the middle of July.

Now. It's starting to spread into the national lexicon. We don't even give these young Black boys a chance to not be defined by some level of criminality and we had posters defending it as a term of endearment.
Yeah, it's like some people in our community are determined to make sure it happens :francis:

Anti blackness comes in many forms
