Responsible Gun Owner?

Cocoa store owner shoots would-be thief multiple times

COCOA, FLORIDA — One armed robbery suspect wasted perfectly good space aboard a medical flight transport after being shot repeatedly by a store owner. He was rushed into surgery in critical condition and the helicopter forgot to drop his cargo at around two thousand feet elevation, soaking up even more taxpayer dollars attempting to save the life of this piece of trash.

The robbery occurred around 8 pm in a location that has been repeatedly targeted by armed robbers looking to extort or kill the store clerk, according to recent events and historical ones broadcast through WESH. The victim is a naturalized citizen who owns the store and hails from Cambodia. He keeps pictures of the armed robbers he’s shot in his store since they’ve begun trying to rob him.

If you sometimes give them money, they never have enough. Doesn’t matter, they will come back and kill you,” the store owner said.

The store owner, for obvious reasons, didn’t want to appear in front of television cameras for fear of reprisals — something to be expected when you are faced against a large supply of young, idiotic men willing to die for a twenty dollar bill. Thankfully, he’s been fast. And they’re dumb. Because according to police reports, this store was the site of repeated attempted robberies before this one. The most notable was in 2009 where another armed robber pretty much ended up in the same spot as the last one and, again, taxpayers have to foot the bill for him undergoing immediate life-saving surgery, recuperation, and then incarceration.

Somebody died?....I'm not even trying to take a gun position here. Dude's a piece of trash but the celebratory tone in the article is weird and shytty.
couldn't agree more.
I agree dude had the right to defend himself and his property but to celebrate it like it's a victory is just dumb. That being said the article in the OP post, the text at least, isn't the actual article he linked to nor does it carry the same shytty tone. Just thought i'd point that out.

i took the article being more upset at the fact tax payer money got wasted, not pro death.
was it hinting that the store owner is defending himself to the point of stupidity and selfishness?
8 years and he keeps shooting fools with no gun skills. i'm surprised none of them got a shot in. this store owner is an ex assassin or some shyt?
as someone else said, get a career change.
guess he likes his job all around and wont set up shop somewhere else.

the tone of this article is fukked up, but idk if i support my tax dollars going towards life flighting the dude to the hospital. i read a damning nyt piece on life flight contracts and im super sketched out by the companies. stories of people being life flighted when the life flight actually took longer than an ambulance drive would've... interesting stuff

id try to sell my business but maybe no one is willing to buy it for a profit because it's targeted so often. maybe the lil asian man is stuck there with his .45 and honor
