allegedly, mutants are a product of the celestials. The x gene laid dormant and it was activated by multiple infinity stone snaps on earth. 3 to be exact. Same thing with the externals.

That’s really the only way you can introduce so many characters on earth in a cinematic universe that’s 12 years old.

And storm probably won’t be born in Wakanda but she will simply end up there.
Exactly. There will be a lot of mutants but we'll only see the main ones they're talking about which means wolverine, rogue and gambit could be sitting in the cut somewhere as a back up lineup for imminent danger and this is good because we can skip over the whole origins story and use good actors for them for a 1,2 movie deal then go back to the lesser known characters while cyclops is the leader and main focus. Also we can split the story and have havoc form X factor.

Not a lot of people are going to like me for this but I've been saying it the longest: Gambit is the most overrated X-man this side of Wolverine. I won't call him trash because he DOES have his moments and he's for sure a better character than the likes of Sunfire or these new-millenium garbage characters they're coming up with today. But still, Gambit's whole existence really peaked with the early 90s for the most part.
The problem with Gambit is that he's :banderas: in the animated series but mostly :snooze: everywhere else.
The overwhelming majority of the really live stuff in the comics either has nothing to do with Gambit or takes place way before he first showed up. (except for retcons)
Apocalypse has the same issue IMO. He's dope in the cartoon but he's mostly a jobber in the actual comics.

The 80s Claremont era up until around #200 is the real golden age IMO.
There are a few bright spots after #200 (Mutant Massacre, Genosha), but nothing truly topping that initial level of greatness from the Byrne era IMO.

Paul Smith, John Romita Jr. :wow:

gambit isnt overrated, its just outside of wolverine and family most people only care about the xmen as a unit not individually. i mean cyclops being a ??? character in the movies as well as the random ass lineup for first class speaks volumes for that. doesnt help that marvel will make a fukk ton of mutants then do nothing with them only to sweep them out the way for the new batch, or as of recently, bring back the original xmen as teens for some ungodly reason

Also if they're using the 70s line up of the X-men they might as well let Thunderbird live. He was only killed off in the comics because they thought him and wolverine were too similar in temperament and powerset

She would be dope! How tall is she? Storm is 5'11 in the comics.
From a looks perspective yup but my only problem is they need an actress that can get at least an English accent. Halle Berry was the woat superheroine.

My other vote is always Naomi Harris. She played Calypso from POTC. She would kill it.

Killmonger was dope. Might even say better than the black panther.

oh fax.. he debo'd T'challa in his own film.. he just fell flat to me, like a one note ''im soo angry'' type cast. nikka had no solid plan outside of sending weapons to other people. like Thor solo wouldn't nerf all that bullshyt

X-Men has always been melodramatic almost soap operatic with obvious social overtones...you could read an X-Men comic with absolutely no action in it, and it's still as entertaining as when they are fighting the Sentinels or Brotherhood or the Hellfire club.

I don't think you're going to get this in a barely PG13 universe with dreams of kids product placement abound. Fox had the tone right, most of the casting right, they just did not give a fukk about the source material.

Personally, PERSONALLY...I don't even think it should be a movie. It should be TV series. If it was made like Game of Thrones, with Game of Thrones budget...it could be thee best show ever. It should be a TV-MA show on FX or HBO or Netflix or something, but I know that's not going to happen with one of the most valuable fictional properties in all of media.

I mean just imagine all the factions intertwining over a multi season arc...Brotherhood, Hellfire Club, Genosha, Stryker, Sentinels, Shi'ar, Professor Xs relationship with Juggernaut, Magneto being an antihero, Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse collaborating. Colussus's heel turn after his sister dies...White Queens heel turn. A proper Dark Phoenix saga...you can't do this in one movie. Cable/Strfye/Rachel Summers and the X-cutioners song...

Moreover you don't have to worry about the inevitable continuity issues the MCU is going to have because...where the fukk have mutants been all this time.

That shyt would be epic and you can't do it in movies...but you can do it on TV.

1000% agree bruh I've been saying for years fukk movies an Xmen live tv series with a game of thrones type budget would be epic and if done right potentially the greatest tv show of all time
