They didn't have to make him out to be an action hero.

Nothing about Ice Cube attending and graduating University for Architecture (which is a huge achievement coming from his background). This is just stuff they want the general public to believe.

Maybe Ice Cube thought a scene with him writing the Friday movie would've been much more entertaining than a scene with him attending a University lecture.

Only two of their members banged. Ice Cube was getting his education. I'm not even sure if that scene with him smashing the gold records is legit.
