sadly, the "go back to africa if you are not happy here" is not only presently strawman and disingenuous but historically a misnomer. nobody just goes back to somewhere or leave and set up civilization all willy nilly because they are upset. and the anyone you find who did just do so without the financial and agricultural support of the government they were leaving, they went to new lands and got sick, died off, lost millions of people at a time and nearly got wiped out.
even when we talking the settlers here to america, we talking the british government setting up headright funding and land lawyers to help get the land and maintain it. they never just "went to america"
so the choice to "go back to africa" has never been seriously pursued by this government, as even when we talk about liberia we talking a land set aside that was never properly financed and politically investigated before people went there, which led to its failure. if liberia gets billions from the u.s government and other areas in the west, as isreal gets billions from america, germany, france, canada, britain etc then a land for blacks in america to repatriate. those who come to america even now have tax benefits and ways to get loans even those of us here dont have access to based on financial institutions that suck the blood out of the people here with pay day loans, student loans, credit cards etc making it impossible to get loans and mortgage crisis that killed the black folks equity in land and collateral we can use to get loans.
the spanish traveled with the backing of the queens of spain, the british traveled with the backing of the roman catholic church and those who held the crowns, and etc. and unfortunately prominent successful african countries flourishing economically cant open a budget to make it beneficial for us to repatriate because they are under the IMF and their banks and would never sanction that kind of move.
you set up something like for every black in america who comes back to a african country we will give them 500k dollars land and a construction team to build foundation on that land, then we can honestly talk about blacks here going back. but no african country can even handle millions of people with no resources just coming into their country. hell america cant handle it now.
so dont ask black africans in america to do what your own ancestors never did themselves. even those italians and irish and jews and polish etc who came later were given government hand outs and those handouts along with bootleg liquor and opium money, aided in them eradicating ghettos out their community and setting up a economic infrastructure for their community. everytime we have worked toward that, either the government or racist civilians aided in tearing it down. and they still do so today. so lets stop playing.
