Streaming is the reason that music "comes and goes" now

Yup & the fact the game is over saturated with a bunch of ppl that don’t know how to make decent music anymore. The soul is lost, it’s all about ya image & how much money you got. Only a select few can make cohesive albums now

To add to that, theres something about the artists meeting and chopping it up in a studio when making a song

Nowadays, you can email the beat to your guest feature and have it back the same day without having met and talked about the song at all

I think this is so underrated. Just emailing a song to somebody cuz they're hot or dig one of their verses don't make a good collab. Artists used to build with each other and you could tell in the music. That's why you'd have a song with Pac and 4Tay or Outkast and Raekwon and it would be dope as hell.
