Is SlingTv any good?

I think so. I get a few local channels and channels I actually watch. I don't need hundreds of channels especially since I don't watch alot of tv. It also has a sports package and even without it the other packages come with some sports channels. They have channels like Comedy Central, El Rey, Vice, Cartoon Network, MSNBC, BBC, and MTV. They also offer premium channels for $5 extra such as HBO, Starz, and Showtime. I haven't looked at the packages in a while so I'm not entirely sure what each package contains.

They do have a version in which it allows you watch on like 3 tvs. I got it when it first came out so I pay a reduced rate. I pay like $20 plus tax. I think it may be going for about $30 or something.

I have Hulu and Netflix as well, but I get it free lol. But even if you do pay, I feel it comes out cheaper. Besides cable being just expensive, they kill you with fees and taxes. They charge you per cable box, maintenance, etc. I'm glad people are cutting the cord, these cable companies have gotten ridiculous, it's way too expensive. Hopefully they smarten up and start significantly lowering their prices.

I don't know about anyone else but here where I live, Comcast has convinced me to keep some parts of cable unfortunately. Basically the cost of just getting the internet by itself is actually more expensive than the "Deal" they want to give me to have internet and cable TV. I would like to pay less with just internet but they have their pricing setup where it won't work out that way. Its some bullshyt

fukk Comcast. I refused their cable/internet/landline(really?) deal out of principle. I have to get internet through them, but hopefully If enough people cut the cord, they will eventually have to change their model.

Took me an hour and 4 calls but I got them to give me the new customer internet pricing, they were trying to play me at first with their standalone internet pricing but fukk that.

No cable :blessed:

Doing some trials on ps vue and directv now this week and next, gonna play with kodi a bit more as well to see if that suffices, but yea, even if I pickup a streaming option, I'm saving $90/month
