I love SF4 but come on breh. SF3 execution is much MUCH more stricter.

The Developers even stated that when they made SF4 they eased the timing to give people who havent played in years a chance to do their thing.

SF4 is a greatest capcom fighter since CVS2:birdman:

I find that in SF3 directional inputs were much more strict and that is what they changed to be more lenient in SF4. Timing on the other hand, nope.

actually he's right cuz 3s doesn't have links like that

to do combos in sf4 takes more timing than in 3s...

though because 3s doesn't have links like that hit confirming is harder so in another sense ur reactions need to be top notch in 3s

meh...I guess ur both right in different ways :yeshrug:

Nah....get hit with anything in 3rd Strike you are in hitstun for five hours. One hit confirms into supers were the norm. But its def not an easy mode game whatsoever. Try doing Evo Moment 37 brehs :sadcam:.

BTW the parrying system is the GOAT feature for a street fighter. :yeshrug: fukks all over a focus attack. You ever seen the daigo video w/ ken and chunli. You can't create something like that w/ sf4. :yeshrug:

Edit: just realize that evo moment 37 is daigo

3rd Strike was the most exciting SF to watch outside of turtle Chun Li. If SF3 had a lot more familiar characters it would have been a huge success. When rosters are trimmed in fighting games typically the games aren't as well received as their predecessors. Same thing happened with Tekken 4 after Tekken Tag 1

thats why i say hit confirms were harder....cuz in sf4 all these links give u time react on whether or not to pull off a super or special at the end of a normal

in 3s the lack of links had many characters relying on hit confirms like low crouchin medium kick into super..with which u had small amount of time to react to whether or not ur opponent blocked or not where as sf4 hitconfirming is a bit more easier on the reactions

You're right, at the time when 3rd Strike came out I copped and had no idea who the fukk the characters were. So I played Akuma and Ryu :manny:. Though in 2014 looking back, they made a lot of memorable new characters in 3rd Strike.

IV's new characters are mostly terrible in comparison. Just don't feel like playing any of them, and Rufus and Hakan are terrible designs. Only good looking one is El Fuerte.

And yeah, I also prefer III for the simpler controls. Everyone just had you doing quarter/half/full rotates while IV overcomplicated things by having you do some silly zig-zag charges and such. Takes too much effort to pull them off.

Doubt these nikkaz will ever surpass SF3: 3rd Strike/SFA3 (best 2 games in the series).

The gameplay ain't the same, and I'm not a fan of these more 3Dish graphics as opposed to the 2D shyt. 3rd Strike suffered from some wack characters & that retarded ass decision to limit nikkaz to one super per style, but it's still way better than SF4.
