Played every incarnation of SF, from Hyper Fighting to the Alpha/Zero series, Street Fighter 3, the EX series and SF4. Had a lot of fun times during HS through college

I think that how SFIV presentation and art design made a lot of original fans feel that way. Also, the lack of each character having its own personal stage and music in SFIV sucked. Those are two of the core things that made you feel like you were in the sf universe. Everyone having the same boss character at the end of the game sucked. Why is every character that is not a "main" character a comedy character? El Fute should have been a serious or main character. I felt like SFIV wanted to draw in kids from the dbz crowd. SFIV us just to goofy of a series for me and I treat iv series as a "fan service". Street Alpha 2 and Street Fighter III series where the last street fighter games that I truly love and enjoyed. King of Fighters XIII is truly this gens best fighter. From the gameplay, mechanics and visuals, kofxilll made me feel right at home and reminded me how a fighting game is supposed to be. Overall, street fighter is the greatest fighting game series ever.

I agree with you about SF4...I enjoyed playing it but it was missing some things, mostly what you pointed out there. And agreed about Kof 13

And to be honest with you I have KOF very, very close behind SF in terms of overall fighting game GOAT-ness. Took the fighting game experience to another level from as early as KOF 94, in terms of everything from game mechanics to the roster and even the story-line. KOF 98' is probably my fav KOF ever, they got everything right in that game

The Street Fighter Alpha/Zero series breh. It had the awesome gameplay and natural competitiveness of Street Fighter 2, with added features like alpha counters and custom combos. I personally love SF Alpha 1, but 2 and 3 were great too.

Yeah, the Alpha series was SF at it's finest.

There was this ill neo geo fighting game ... i think its called last blade or somthing anyway that game is fun, plays like Samurai Showdown but faster and the sequel was


but SF has the crown, i just bought Capcom vs SNK 2 from the PS store thats one of my favorite titles from the PS2 era.. When i played SF4 tho i was SF will never be the same RIP
