Alpha 2 is the best Street Fighter game of all time.
Yeah it's the only one I'm a fan of. I've never played Third Strike, thinking about getting it on PSN.

its the best fighting game ...but the leaning curve on it is no joke.. Your gonna get destroyed online if you dont got the fundamentals and at least basic parrying down .... Cant cheese your way out with spamming except with Remy but u kinda have to do that with himYeah it's the only one I'm a fan of. I've never played Third Strike, thinking about getting it on PSN.

what i don't understand though is why do tekken players complain about grabbing? i grab frequently but most of the time its to change the pace of the match but, a lot of people seem to cry about it
I think tekken has always been the most fair out of all of em. as long as your defense is on point you can play with the best of em. knowing the combo's tho is crucial for very high play tho.

I won't argue with that. But I think that for a very old game, Street Fighter 2 (Hyper Fighting) has to be up there. When you think about the time it came out, and and the level of gameplay and competitiveness that it had, it was incredible. Down here it still gets HEAVY play in arcades everywhere, you can't be a successful arcade owner without it.

I also think that the first Street Fighter Alpha is underrated. Yeah Alpha 2 was a lot more balanced, but Alpha 1 was incredibly fun, had a lot more combos seeing that most of the characters (Ryu, Ken, Chun-li, Akuma,Guy) could link multiple punches and kicks together and combo that into a super.

Wow! Eye opening post! What other bold comments about the world of gaming do you have?
Why do some of you prefer alpha 2 over alpha 3? The only thing I didn't like about alpha 3 was VISM. I liked the counter hit system which allowed you to add on combos that wouldnt be possible otherwise as well as the huge roster. The only characters missing were SF3 characters.
