actually, most all of SNK fighting games were bangers. Last Blade, Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, King of Fighters. I used to like World Heroes too. Wanted a Neo Geo but couldnt afford one.

I fukked with all fighting games from the day. Samurai showdown, tekken, soul caliber, marvel v capcom, mortal kombat, street fighter, smash, primal rage, eternal champions, marvel v capcom....even the injustice shyts I fukk with even though I don’t own a console anymore. They’re all great to me.

But street fighter will always be the GOAT to me. Great character variety in design and fighting styles. That and nba jam made me fall in love with games. Always have a special place in my heart

I own SF1, SF2, Champion Edition, Hyper Fighting, SSF, SSFT, all the Alphas, EX on emulator, SF3 a new beginning & 3rd Strike on emulator. Finally SF4. That being said in the last five years MK has been better

yeah. I'm an old head breh. def couldnt afford dem games. I think I had SNES at the time. Neo Geo console was about 6 bills.

a few years later I had a job tho and me and my brother went in on a Panasonic 3DO. them shyts was 4 bills.

Mortal Kombat was a good series until MK4.

Street Fighter is transformative and literally every fighting game since has copied it in some way, shape or form. SF2 was trailblazing in terms of gameplay, art direction and music.
