I never took SF serious in the past. I just played it casually. This will change with SF5. Got my ass kicked enough in the beta to make me see some of my weaknesses, and those adjustments helped me a lot this weekend :blessed:

I'll be playing the hell out of this when it drops. Willing play with yall too. I know some of yall are really good judging from this thread and previous ones. I just wish all you all would duke it out already instead of saying who is trash :russ:

just add me.

Playing with Laura is a good indicator of how important normals are in SFV. Her specials are mad situational, her block strings seem more advanced than other fighters. Her normals are so important to her game in order to confirm its crazy...but at least her crouching MK and HK are good buttons.

I rock fighting games in a strictly casual manner. But I've always been interested in this ish...So just a couple of generic questions:
1. How much time/practice you putting in to compete with legit cats?
2. How much of practice it is training mode or one player modes versus just playing online matches and practicing ish there?
3. How much frustration would I deal with before I get to a level where I'm smacking dudes? I lose patience easily these days and could see myself losing it at cats spamming attacks and beating me.

1. I've been playing street fighter and numerous fighting games for most if my life but if I'd I had to put a number on it maybe a year.

2.Not entirely sure what u asking but to answer this how i think u asking.Prior to SF4 online, growing up I usually played my cuzn and uncle and they kept smackn me around in Turbo and Alpha. It was that constant losing that forced me to get better. I don't like folks being able to say they beat me and it eventually got to the point where they couldn't. The beauty of that is even though I'm the best amongst my family and peers I know there's someone better then me. That constantly drives me to improve. Soooo in a sense that was my practice.

3. If u plan to be good at this game your gonna face a ton of frustration. To the point where your gonna ether want to quit or get better. Don't expect to be that dude after a month or two of playing. You'll gradually get to that point though as long as you practice and put forth the effort.

Really planning to put work in with SFV. Didn't really get a good chance with SFIV.

Just from playing the beta you can tell SFV is all about fundamentals.
