The core gameplay works just fine. Gives you more than enough knowledge on how it plays really. Known that since beta tests really.

So for that, always Street Fighter. SF and pretty much all japanese made fighting games (which is damn near all of them really) just run much more fluid than MK ever has. And I like MKX and MK as a series plenty. But the difference is nearly night and day in terms of the sheer gameplay and fluidity difference between the two series. Knew that shyt even back when the shock and awe of fatalities and live action people were all the rave for MK. MK's gotten better in that regard for sure, but still, as well as all the superfluous stuff too, so I can see more casuals preferring it for those reasons. Still not better than SF tho. Nope.

Also as far as I know MKX is done and won't have anymore DLC. I'm pretty sure Netherrealms is working on the next Injustice game. Meanwhile SF5 will last for the whole generation of these current systems.
