The present games use all the classic characters.
MKs characters have always been better, its just that capcom made better games.
Now, IMO, MK 9s gameplay takes epic dumps on sf4. Stans will disagree.....

I think both have excellent and memorable casts. Everyone from MK1-2 and SF2 is classic.
And MK9 was truly great. A lot of characters I used to never play ended up being some of my favs to use in Mk9 (Cyrax, Ermac for example). I really liked how every character pretty much was fun and easy to pick up and play.

As far as storylines and characters mortal kombat wins. But as far as gameplay street fighter is the better technical game.
Streetfighter punishes mk when it comes to characters. Plus it has OG status as well, if it wasn't for SF there wouldn't be any mk....

Lies you have the two main characters with the EXACT same skillset, only one is slightly faster/less stronger foh then you have a bytch that kicks fast, a fatass that waves his hands really fast, a guy with really long arms, a standard black boxer, etc. Shoutout to Blanca tho I'll fukk anybody up wit that nikka.
MK got nikkas wit spears coming out they hands, Mr freeze ass nikkas, bytches that use they hair and voice as weapons, etc. If Blanca was in MK shyt wouldn't even be a debatable topic.
You can't really say shyt about street fighter having similar characters when there's a ninja palette swap for every color in the rainbow in MK

I forget half of the mk crew, even the "worst" sf 2d sf game (3S) to alot of people has more memorable characters than MK.

Hol up, we talking bout the way nikkas dress now? Okay fine street fighter had more outfits lmao lmao but I had no idea we were talking about fashion when we were talking about a diverse selection. All them nikkas had they own moves, very unique from each other.
Coulda swore that's what matters, not what these nikkas decided to wear today. Besides, that hasn't been a problem since Ultimate MK3 when they first began to chance the ninja uni a lil bit up to now where they have completely different gear on.
