Nah, a bookbag doesn't function as fluidly as a purse. I'm not walking around with a bookbag on wtf This is all I carry: hair brush, chapstick, lotion, sanitizer, gum/mints, pen, wallet.

A bookbag for that is silly as hell unless we are talking about two completely different bag types, what kind of bag are you carrying with you?

I carry my laptop/mouse/charging cord, tablet and lotion and wallet.
Chapstick goes in my front pockets along with my keys and phone.
I keep the back free for my pocket knife
