But that's the thing tho....I'm legit and was gonna send them each a hand drawn original.

I've posted enough of my achievements and art to gain folk trusts. Hell that's the only reason why I joined theColi was simply to show my art. The fukkery was second.

I definitely only work with Black galleries at this point because of the racism. That's why I want my MFA for networking. Problem is these bougie ass galleries in up north :francis:

They be hating on the South
Stop going up north?
Hit up Chicago, Detroit, Dayton.
Network in the DMV. Go out west to Oakland.

You gotta find your markets. I told you about those miniatures.

:jbhmm::jbhmm::jbhmm:
You ever think about changing your style to something more realistic and polished?

I been thinkin' 'bout leaving my art pursuits alone, I'm getting older and my energy just ain't in it like it once was.
After gettin' burned too often early on I realized I don't like collaborating to realize my vision. I don't like performing.
The art world today is not like it was back in the day.

I don't like white people trying to validate my creative expression because they don't get it until later, then it's too late. That's why I told you about the miniatures and switching up your style and pursuing your own markets.

I do realism when the vision calls it. My art practice is based in many genres and movements. I hate to paint the same way every painting unless it's a series. My Vodou Goddesses Portraiture works uses realism, collages, fabric, gold leaf, graffiti and abstract expressionism all which I call post neo expressionism. I'm starting to infuse all of that but swap out realism for cubism. I just paint what I envision.

Do you show your work often in markets that have high black populations... ie Atlanta, Detriot, DMV? Then again I guess there are some non black markets that would appreciate that too as a niche. I have no clue about the art world, I'm just asking out of curiosity
