I think production holds it back a little bit when you compare it to his followups, but I love the album though:manny:...But comparing it to Thug Life album where I think he really put it all together as a emcee I cant consider it classic....I could see this album not being called a classic,it would be easy to probably look at this album and compare it to Cube just because of the similarities between them....If you gon draw those comparisons of course this album is Cube lite in comparison to prime Cube....Thug Life era he became he's a different emcee all together and I think finds his own identity:blessed:

I love the album and replay it all the time though:manny:....The title track is in my top 10 favorite Pac tracks all time though,Pac talking big shyt:banderas:....Then on the second verse giving powerful motivational speeches to the thugs:pachaha:

Didn't they have a "let's not give any album 5 mics" policy for several years??

I don't even think Doggystyle got a great review from them. They complained about the features if I remember correctly.

Doggystyle did not deserve a 5 Mic rating a 4 would be more appropriate & this album was rated about right 3.5 is solid which this was nothing more nothing less

I didn't care for a lot of the production at the time but it had it big joints. It just wasn't funkin with his debut which I think is the most underrated.

But I appreciate it a lot more now that I can listen to it with out all the better albums of 93 clouding my perception.

I was and still highly disappointed in the Cube and Ice T joint:mjcry::to::sadbron::scust:
