Strictly player wise can prime AD reach Duncan/KG/Dirk/Malone level?

He should be concerned with Duncan...

Dirk's 11 run was remarkable and MUST be respected. Talent wise he exceeds Dirk however

The other two were chokers...

KG could close games, Duncan was better but again he had superior coaching and superior supporting cast. KG had his infamous shortcomings but did he hit gamewinning shots in Minnesota and did he have his dominant takeover games (game 7 against Kings in 2004). In Boston when he had a cast around him he was excellent in clutch situations and often hit 18 foot daggers in crunch time.

Kobe took those trash teams to the playoffs because he had a better team. Phil Jackson's coaching goes a long way, they ran the Triangle and allowed Kobe to take 25+ shots per game and average 30+ points, they were top 10 in offense both years and were a good rebounding team and could control pace. Kobe was not more impactful than KG especially if we factoring both ends. Saying well Kobe took his team to the playoffs, so why didn't KG is simple-minded thinking and a false equivalency.

Again, KG never had TD's support system or lucky breaks. KG's situation is the complete opposite of TD's. Again, he was drafted to an expansion team with no winning culture as a teenager, the T'Wolves were poorly run, could not attracts FA's, and they lost FIVE first round picks for tampering trying to sign Joe Smith.

I think KG is more skilled and more athletic therefore a better basketball player these are tangible things. Y'all are talking about titles. If I'm starting a team I'd personally draft a young KG over a young Duncan.

No no no.. . Seen Wayyyy too many games of KG passing the rock in the clutch.

We not doing this.

TD won with old Avery Johnson, broke back Admiral, and Larry Holmes Eliiott

KG with that team, sorry.

:russ: That team was better than any kg t wolves team. Only one close is spree and cassell. They got to wcf and both got injured. Plus they was going up against Shaq, kobe, Malone and gp.

Y’all sound like the LeBron haters bu bu he passed the ball that discounts all the times he was clutch :shaq2:

Broke Back Admiral is better than anyone KG played with you serious?

The ‘99 Spurs are better than any KG team. The West was trash in ‘99 and they faced an 8th seeded Knicks team in the Finals. KG is winning that ring.

Now compare that team to the teams KG was on. :what:

My point with KG is that he isn't that dude offensively like TD was. Will happily pass the rock in the clutch. That's why Timmy is better.

And again, even Kobe took shyt teams to the playoffs.

In terms of ability/individual game, I'd argue he's already on par, if not exceeded Duncan/KG/Malone/Dirk
I can't see him banging with prime Shaq and giving him the business like Duncan did. He already better than KG/Dirk to me. Malone is a longevity thing to me. Just one more season of this and he's there to me. Him, Giannis and Embiid developing will give him the competition to vault everyone but Duncan. Rings and how good those other two end up will be the deciding factor to give him that edge.

Ignore titles rn dude is a beast

For most of year dude was at 27ppg 12 reb on 56% :damn:

Has settled in at 28 ppg on 54 % with GREAT DEFENSE, pels are lucky :ohlawd:

he has more talent than them he's longer and more athletic .. they may have him with basketball smarts but he can still gain that down the line. i'd go with ad

how is barkley completely omitted from these discussions now??

serious question.

its like certain names got axed out of coli convos, if they were snubbed from those ESPN lists.

kobe never took a chit team anywhere.

his least-best nucleus was odom & butler. the same tandem that was ROCKIN wit rookie wade.
