I haven't kept up with NJPW in probably over 10 years. Can someone explain (kayfabe wise) how Finn Balor left the group & how AJ Styles took over as the leader? In terms of kayfabe, why would Balor be excited the Bullet Club is coming with its new leader?

Finn was part of a tag team called Apollo 55 with Ryusuke Taguchi. Bullet Club was formed when he turned on his partner. A year or so after that, Finn was tired of the Young Bucks interfering on his matches so they turned on him. Finn lost his last match against Taguchi, they became friends again so he parted ways with the Club and the company the next day.
AJ Styles joined them and became the leader after winning the IWGP title over Okada a month later.
Gallows and Anderson are still on Bullet Club, but AJ isn't. Finn is probably referring only to the first two. I don't think they all will debut together.

Tbh i don't see why they didn't just use members of the current NXT roster for the new balor club. Finn aint doing shyt but building legosWho knows at these point. Maybe we won't end with any Bullet or Bálor Club at all.
, need to go make friendsThis would be the worst. If anything put them all on the main roster have AJ go for the heavyweight and Balor the US or Intercontinental.

Not in wwe breh . Finn is the one they built up ,younger been drawing in nxt , has the European fan base and has the demon for the kids . While I like what AJ been doing let's be real

Finn is dope, but not dope enough to be AJ's leader(built in feud there)
that's fine but do you guys even watch wwe ? This is why your the same people complaining in every thread about how they misusing this person or that person. There not going to stop pushing Finn who they been pushing to make him second fiddle , especially in a group that's gonna be called BALOR club
