This is a tough one becuase we have never seen this current iteration of KD on his own. People questioned what Kobe could do on his own and then he came out and blew all that shyt out of the water. I think KD is every bit the scorer Kobe was from skill perspective and he's actually a better deep shooter, he's taller, and he's more of a consistent scorer. Kobe was stronger, more explosive (both physically and in terms of scoring outbursts), a better ball-handler, and a better post player. I think KD has all the tools to put up 35 a night however I am not sure he would want too. I don't think he has the same "gimme the ball and get out of the way" mentality that Kobe has exhibited and honestly that's the only thing that would prevent him from putting up numbers like that.

:skip: breh they're dumb as fukk they're just buying into this media narrative that KD isn't ''assertive'' or ''can't take over a game'' it's kinda like the same shyt they did with LeBron but now it's his turn. :mjpls:

That's not even the thing for me. I got mad when he was letting Shane body him out of the post in the Finals. When he's buzzing he can set shyt on fire. He's just soft to me. It was either game 2 or game 3 where it seemed like they had just given up and Sabo just started torching Wade and put them within 2. Durant was just kinda there. And it made wonder why is he just spectating. He needed to get in on some of that action.

Kobe in his prime was probably the best scorer, outside of MJ was the best scorer i've ever seen, he ded it mulitple ways and not just shooting like KD does

there's too many fukking idiots on this forum. Durant is a better scorer than Kobe because he's more efficient? :laff:

This frail geek hired his own analytics team to find out where he shoots best from. that's way more intelligent than Kobe aburdly and pathetically continuing to chuck up the most shots in the areas where he shoots the worse.

You could make the argument that Kevin Durant isn't even in his prime, let's make the argument at the end of this season. I would say Kobe but Durant is right in the conversation. Dude has 3 scoring titles and could easily win 2 or 3 more before it's all said and done.

Durant is a better catch and shoot player. Thats its. He doesn't have anything else on Kobe. Kobe is better driving, off the dribble, in the post, etc. 81, 62 in 3, 50+ 4 straight games, 40+ 9 straight games.....it speaks for itself.

KD's overall efficiency at his scoring volume is off the charts. It's really ridiculous even in an all time sense.

But Kobe in his prime has to be the most ballistic scorer maybe in NBA history. No weaknesses on any part of the floor. We might not see those types of scoring streaks again, at least from a 6'6" SG.

Put the '06 and '07 seasons together and you see some extremely wild numbers.
