That's the odd thing about Kobe's career. The timing was off. Because of how his career had progressed up to the whole '04 breakdown, Kobe ended up being on shytty teams in his prime and the good years happened concurrent with his slowdown. I have no doubt that '06 Kobe on the '08 or '09 teams could replicate what LeBron is doing now.

shyt just doesn't pan out that way and I doubt he has any regrets. There's always that what if though.

You want scoring?

Imagine '05, '06 and '07 Kobe in the Finals :ohlawd:

If Shaq stayed in LA and stepped back to let Kobe take control, they'd probably have six or seven rings between them. Shaq could have took on that David Robinson/Kareem role and let the young gun (Magic/Tim Duncan) cook. Being hardheaded, he ended up bouncing around the league and retiring as a Celtic :scusthov: That's why they cool with each other now and he's never spoken out against Kobe since. Because he know it was a wrong move in hindsight. Them boys could have dominated for 10 years straight.

I don't know how true it was. But I remember back in that 04 season it floated around that Riles wanted to come back, make Kobe and Shaq squash the beef, and bring back the winning. But since Shaq disrespected Dr. Buss so viciously in preseason talkin bout "Pay me" Mitch told Riles that Shaq had to go by any means, and the rest was history. shyt woulda been crazy if we went from Phil to Riles and Kobe/Shaq had a renaissance. :banderas:

Can Durant go on those 40 and 50 point streaks and average 40 for an entire month like Kobe has done in the past?

I don't think we'll ever know, because Durant isn't a high volume shooter. He isn't built like that. Durant looks for the best possible shot and he always tries to be efficient. He'll even go multiple possessions without even looking to score. Kobe just doesn't care efficiency like that.

He took a step back when he went to Miami. That's stupid. You willing to let Wade run the show but you was fighting tooth and nail with Kobe a year earlier.

you say that like Wade was a scrub. And maybe he had a better relationship with Wade than with Kobe. :youngsabo:

We are talking about SCORING. STRICTLY SCORING.

Only a retard would say that Kevin Durant is a better SCORER than a man who is on pace to legitimately challenge for most points scored all-time, the 2nd most points in a NBA game, 62 points in 3 quarters, 56 points in 1 half, a man who's averaged 40+ points per game for an entire month.......on 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS:mindblown:

Kevin Durant only has a 1 ppg higher career mark over Kobe.........and Kobe came off the bench his first 2 seasons:dead:

Kobe Bryant has scored 30 or more points in 419 career games.......that's 2nd all-time:ufdup:

Why are we even having this discussion?

If Kobe aint better than Jordan, then he's the closest one:birdman:

compare a 17 year career to a 6 year career brehs
