There was a thread on Smoking Section back in the day and someone dropped this knowledge that I had to snag.

It doesn't work all the time, I've noticed on some tracks the worse verse is second (especially on tracks with three artists) but this is pretty damn accurate.

Interesting. Wackest verses I've heard were always last and it's logical since you can just cut the track there before that 3rd verse, otherwise if you put wackest verse on 2nd spot you have to go through it just to hear the last one. It makes more sense.

:dahell:That's a GOAT Birdman verse

yeah :russ: that's actually one of his better verses :patrice:

jay-z on renegade

I always thought Jigga had better verses than Eminem on Renegade

I had to hustle, my back to the wall, ashy knuckles
Pockets filled with a lot of lint, not a cent
Gotta vent, lot of innocent lives lost on the project bench
Whatchu hollering, gotta pay rent, bring dollars in
By the bodega, iron under my coat, feeling braver
Durag wrapping my waves up, pockets full of hope
Do not step to me, I'm awkward, I box lefty

There may be a flaw in this Theory, though.

To illustrate it, I will provide the "Horse & Carriage" Remix.

Nah in posse cuts they usually hold the best verse either first or last. Very rarely is the last verse trash
