If you are an old head like me and been a sports fan a long time, you basically saw his entire career. I was like 13 or 14 when he debuted on ESPN.

I always said deaths of famous ppl i dont know personally wouldnt get me. I was wrong.

Never got the feeling from him that I get with these other ESPN anchors like what they do is way more important than the game and these athletes. little trivial shots and sublims thrown in the highlights. not Stu. with him you could tell he had a genuine love for the sports that he covered and the athletes involved. he talked to athletes with an admiration and respect that was almost child like. RIP
