Breh, how many older black ppl right now would've thought they'd EVER live to see a black president?

Hell even younger ones like us never thought it'd happen. Already in Dallas, Houston there's more Hispanics than whites. Same thing in LA probably.

When a 2 year old at the grocery store stares at a black person, it's b/c they havent been exposed to Black ppl.

I think racism is taught b/c often times little kids play w/ each other and don't care about skin color. It isn't until they get older that society, TV, parents dump their bs on them. THEN, it's up to the person to choose how they see the world. Some ppl are incapable of thinking for themselves, and just go with the flow, while some don't.

Man, I done expressed a lot of those opinions on this site, in real life, in front of actual groups of people in speeches, and on podcasts that people on this site listen to. Ain't nothing new about where I stand. I just think arguing semantics about the capability of a black person to be racist is a waste of time and energy. The global impotence of black racism doesn't disprove the capability of a black person to be racist. That's not remotely complicated. All this other shyt is a lot of anger and frustration. And I sympathize with black anger and frustration, because if we weren't angry and frustrated something would be wrong with us. There are times in this society when I feel American culture is geared toward our annihilation. It's difficult to look at this country's history sometimes and conclude otherwise. But I try to contextualize history and human existence and the factors that influence group psychology and I hold out hope that individuals can be salvaged even when the collective seems rotten. I won't pretend that I haven't had moments where that hope has been tested. And one of the reasons I haven't had children is because I don't want to bring another black child into a world that often seems to despise him. This world is antagonistic toward black people. But incense stand talking points and white liberal memes don't help anything for me.

So you don't think I grew up around whites, most of my childhood was in the suburbs, being the only black in those neighborhoods. Believe me, I had plenty as best friends and I understand the game. Believe me, if it comes between you or their system, your friend will choose his survival ten out of ten times. Don't think otherwise or you are foolish and haven't learned a damn thing from history of this country and the ppl you are dealing with.

I think that's because society treats black women with a brand of contempt that's more akin to lack of regard than a contempt that aggressively seeks to eradicate. The message to black women is "fukk outta my face, you don't matter." The message to black men is "die." But I'm a man and I'm sure a black woman might tell me I'm dead wrong about that.

My concern is greater than ever because the discourse is regressing. The election of a black president seems to have fractured the American psyche. The rhetoric is more charged, the need for a scapegoat is stronger with so many aspects of society collapsing, and shyt feels eerily close to boiling over. And even with all of the open contempt for blacks, the real cut-through-the-bullshyt conversations aren't taking place where they need to. And I feel uneasy every day because of it. Not scared, but definitely on edge.

I had a gun pulled on me last September (and somehow made it out of that situation alive and with my dignity) by a bum ass hooligan nikka and one of things that struck me was the comedy of the conservative black-on-black crime talking point. "What about blacks killing blacks?" So whites killing blacks and blacks killing blacks are somehow both our issues. But both issues stem from the same moral rot, the same historic shiftiness... And in both instances I'm the one with the gun in my face, as well as the one blamed for having the gun in my face. At this point in my life I'm shocked when I meet a black person who isn't at least a little bit crazy.

For a Black man to make it in America in his 20's and not be...

A. Mad as fukk
B. A c00n
C. Confused
D. Scared

@ you attempting to lecture me about white ppl & racism, when I'm from Texas. I lived & went to school in the city, and spent weekends in the country raising our cattle & horses. As a kid, me and my father & uncles(often the only black ppl) were around the most Wrangler wearing, tobacco spittin, cowboy hat wearing red-neck white ppl. Hillbillies. People who you and others AUTOMATICALLY would assume are racist. And many of them were simply not so. And if they were racist, they woulda had no reason to hide it.

All my life I grew up with a combination of ghetto black people, regular black ppl, black cowboys, mexicans, rich whites and the country ppl I described above. Yes, I've experienced racism thru-out life, and it crosses my mind EVERY DAY in certain situations. But I also have common sense to look back at my atypical upbringing & experiences. I know better than to assume every white person is OR isn't racist, and I know better than to assume every Black person is on my side and for my or black advancement.

Growing up the way I did made me innately a VERY good judge of ppl and it doesnt take me long to peg a racist white person, or a white folks-nikka(uncle tom).

White people have seen it, too. They see it all the time, especially those who engage in those very things. They may shake their heads at it, but mostly -- mostly -- they think it's funny as hell, and that, deep down, 'that ****** deserved it because he must have done something else, he's just getting caught for this, so it's fine he's caught for this'. When whites are let go, whites think it's because they deserved to be let go, being let go is the default.

White people can't claim ignorance, or blindness. They try to, in mixed company; but trust, white people know what the deal is. Why rock the boat when you're not in danger of falling out of it, though?

Then they move to an area which is predominantly Latino or Asian, and they're no longer protected, but see Latinos or Asians getting the preferential treatment, and it blows their minds. They know something isn't right, but how do you define that something which isn't right? Is it that it shouldn't happen to anyone, or that it shouldn't happen to them?

All the white and Jewish coli posters who are out as white and/or Jewish and haven't left yet, tell me I'm wrong.
