Chances are you were a youth in the 90's which makes you remember good times with music. When you are older your life is dull as hell and music doesn't give you the feel good feeling.
This is true I guess...

But I still get hype over the NBA or the season finale of Breaking Bad like I would about art and entertainment when I was younger.. Some of it is nostalgia but some of it has to do with the quality of music straight sucking..

Might seem far fetched, but music like this going extinct helped fuel the whole "gender war" going on in the black community right now. What about a groove that soothes and sparks romance?

Music like that helps to lower your blood pressure.Depletes all that sodium.Therapy for the bitter.

The new generation don't have that frequency to tap into.Nothing but money, strip clubs, and Beyonce's pseudo feminist anthems

now you see. Lack of love in society caused it. R & B went to thw way of techno and they all talk about one night stands like ratchet Hip Hop tracks. It systematically was wiped out to cause a lot of bullshyt that was intended to the powers that be. A lot of people can't stand black love or prosperity outside of financial or materialistic means, so they dehumanize us anyway they can.

I have no problem with people who grew up during the 90's being "stuck in the 90".

What I hate is the 90's babies who weren't cognizant of what was going on dikkriding the 90's. You know, the guy who was born in 1997 talking bout I miss when biggie and PAC were alive. :comeon: and its not just hip hop, it's ALL aspects of 90's culture

My little brother who was born in 94 is the same way. I'm like dog you couldn't READ till 99' STFU:laff:

I don't get that either that's just weird. I love Prince, MJ, Debarge and Sade but no way in hell do I want to dikkride 80's culture. Fake nostalgia is just the weirdest.

Yeah, I gotta agree with that. Nostalgia doesn't cloud my judgement because I look back at some of the stuff I loved as a kid in the 90s and Lord have mercy, some of them are very very tough sits. I'd much rather watch some of the dope tv shows from now or a few years ago than the stuff that was on when I was a kid.

Yeah nostalgia doesn't make me think Saved By The Bell is better than Mad Men... I appreciate and respect quality more than a fondness of memories...

it's not even a competition. way more classics were released in the 90's than ever have been in the 2000's. groups like the juggaknots or natural elements couldn't exist nowadays. production hasn't been the same ever since the majority switched to software either. i don't think it'll ever go back to the way it was.

If we were going off nostalgia, saved by the bell and power rangers would be the greatest shows in tv history to me but I know they're both crappy as hell lol..with saved by the bell being a tad less crappy. Some music is just dope, regardless of when it was made. I got no nostalgia attached to I ain't no joke or no half steppin but they're still dope songs and I can listen to them now or a few years from now and still feel the same way

im not stuck in the 90s but i did grow up listening to rap in the earlys 90s as a youngin and saying that 90s raps > 2000s rap is almost factual at this point.
