Not why I posted it
It was his message to the student bout life

As far as championship goes we ain't even thinking bout that we still figuring out who we are with several new players won't have a idea till after rodeo road trip at earliest

As I stated his message was why I posted it the title of thread is what started the question which the student asked at town hall meeting pop held
He doesn't have his job to make people better in life, he isn't a mentor, father, or anything like that to these grown men.

He is their boss at a job where they are evaluated by performance.

He is trying to downplay expectations under the facade of caring about people and its bullshyt and anyone with sense can see it for what it is.

More-so, he's at an event with youth. A kid asking essentially, a work question, is what prompted that response. Thats why he mentioned it just being a job. Basically he's saying:

"My job shouldnt be the most important thing because if it was, I wouldnt waste my time here talking to you little b*stards since it aint work or making me money. Instead, im more concerned with helping people and thats why Im here. Thats what I want my players to strive for. We'll play hard because its our job but that aint the most important thing. Im talking about life and youre thinking about sports."

His job is the only reason he is there, period. That is the only reason anyone cares about him and his opinion, that is the only reason he has influence, that is the only reason the players are there and anyone cares about their opinion. Period.

Concerned about helping people, so you have a speech and Q&A session isn't shyt but PR.

Nothing worse that speakers who can't interact with a crowd, read the room, and is able to communicate with people where they are and get what they want to get in while also engagings and giving what you want to hear or responding to what you ask.

Stephon Marbury told people they're caught up in basketball when they need to get caught up in life a decade ago. :mjpls:
