Get the balance low enough and put it on a credit card through a balance transfer. At least the balance is then bankrupt-able. :manny:

People put too much stake into student loans without knowing the terms. It's a shyt loan product and it's just a tool that doesn't guarantee anything. Just like if you borrow money to buy a car, doesn't mean the car won't have issues. Same with student loans.

Its a endless cycle, gotta put a stop to it somewhere :manny:
People's mindset needs to change, imo, not the student loan process. People out here really feeling like victims when they willingly signed up. Nothing about a student loan seems like a good idea but we move forward anyway and blame everything else. It's crazy. You don't need a student loan in order to get a college degree.

Goes to show you people don't ever educate themselves on adult decisions as an adult. Smh...you get a debt you pay the debt.

Why aren't people doing a cost benefit analysis and actually looking into what the degree will provide etc.

Oh bc society thinks EVERYONE deserves college equally and the same experiences. No responsibility. Smh

You have 17 and 18 year olds who had to ask permission to go to the bathroom making lifelong decisions on taking out debt that effect the rest of their lives. Of course people aren't making adult decisions. A whole generation of kids were told go to college and everything will work itself out and most people get out of a school to find out that's not true and have to wing it.

While some are, a lot of people aren't going to college with a real plan......they're just going to school because that's what they were told to do.

We talking 18 years old if we being real they're not even adults. Being told that if they put x amount of money into college in four years they'll be making 3-4 times that only to find out 4 years later that those type of jobs are few and far between with 1000 people for one opening if they even exist.

The rhetoric is you need a degree to get a good job and you need money to get a degree so of course people are going to believe the end justifies the means
