Student loan debt is a bubble.

and when it finally pops.. it will be popping with the other current bubbles that have been blown.

You thought shyt got fixed in 2008? :sas2:

You don't know how bad shyt is gonna be when this all goes :sas2:
Between the student loan debt, the growing population of people who are living paycheck to paycheck at 65 and can never retire, healthcare costs, etc, our economy is completely fukked. This just isn't sustainable. To top it off we are in another housing bubble as well.

They put a bandaid on the student loan shyt with all of the forgiveness options they rolled out but I'm pretty sure they're going to amend or cancel all of those plans before they start paying out. I think the first big wave of them is coming in the next year or two. With the income based repayment plans, you're basically encouraged to take out more money because in theory, it's money you never have to pay back anyway. There's just no way this ends well.

Lemme set the record here. Guys daughter, for just a bachelors, 240,000. Seriously, 240,000. For a music degree.

All people need to know about student loans is that they give 18 year olds with no job and no assets loans of tens of thousands. Stay out of debt brehs. Borrowers are slaves to the lenders.

We talking 18 years old if we being real they're not even adults. Being told that if they put x amount of money into college in four years they'll be making 3-4 times that only to find out 4 years later that those type of jobs are few and far between with 1000 people for one opening if they even exist.

The rhetoric is you need a degree to get a good job and you need money to get a degree so of course people are going to believe the end justifies the means
Eh. These 18 year olds have parents that are responsible for guiding them. Also there is A LOT of information available in regards to your return on investment for each major. People borrow the most money for a shytty degree and then are upset with the government. They failed to mention they were mediocre students who over borrowed and spent the rest. Balling out during refund check season instead of giving that shyt back.

Just because a degree costs money doesn't make mean you need to borrow money to pay for it. Just like you don't NEED to borrow money to buy anything else in life. We just choose to for convenience.

You have 17 and 18 year olds who had to ask permission to go to the bathroom making lifelong decisions on taking out debt that effect the rest of their lives. Of course people aren't making adult decisions. A whole generation of kids were told go to college and everything will work itself out and most people get out of a school to find out that's not true and have to wing it.

While some are, a lot of people aren't going to college with a real plan......they're just going to school because that's what they were told to do.

Lol and what you said is the WHOLE PROBLEM...where is self reliance, where is making decisions based on YOU and not what everyone else is doing?

People have became sheep and there is no self thought. Too lazy to object to the herd mentality and just say oh well let's go to college...it's not like I'm paying for it now anyway.

What you said doesn't justify AT all the fact that adults and their parents/some sort of guardian (also adults) can't sit down for an hour and crunch numbers...and this is why our society is where it is.

If you don't have the means or money to go to college...don't go...

Get in the work force starting from the bottom, work and get to a point where your employer will send you while you work or at least chip in...

But that's problem...apparently every 18 yr old thinks they DESERVE a job paying 50k off top. Or ever college undergrad DESERVE a job paying 50...smh

Work full time, put in good work and get to that...the world isn't handing out freebies...smh
