Healthcare could be perfectly fine privatized. What we have now is the government enforcing the ability of providers to charge whatever they want. Even with "free" health care, the costs would still be astronomical without a full scale reevaluation of the healthcare industry. It shouldn't cost 3,000 dollars to give a diabetic some Pepsi and a few crackers and send them home.
