Depends

Him: "Rae, can you make a sandwich?"

Me: "Toasted?"

Or

Him: "Rae, can you make me a sandwich?"

Me: "I'm tired from work, can we go to Pappadeaux's? "
:manny:So you just gonna act like you aren't a sucker for a man with a 2 inch eyebrow to hairline clearance:beli:

Like the perfect right angle on both temples don't have you ready to jump the broom:beli:

Yeah, I think there's something to this traditional family structure.

Not saying it needs to be some extreme shyt, but it pretty much has to be at least 60/40 in favor of the man.

50/50 just doesn't work in the long term.
Sounds good in theory tho.

Not saying both sides shouldn't be heard 50/50, but I've come to believe that there's no way it works making decisions 50/50.

"Beta" males > "Alpha" males EVERYDAY

The "alpha" jerks you around and doesn't let you get a word in.

The "beta" cares about your feelings, prefers to talk things over and provides you with security and emotional support :lawd:

Perhaps young women need to more than me...but go ahead.

Thank you.

For me, there is nothing that is more of a turn on than allowing my guy to lead me. To take control of situations. To let him speak for me and fight for me.

Can I do all of these things myself? Sure, I can (I'm private school and college educated with a great job) but my life is more fulfilled by not "competing" with my boyfriend for relationship dominance. And he will do (and has done) anything for me. I trust his judgment and decision making. I wouldn't be with him if I didn't.

But I am not only submissive with my boyfriend but I tend to carry myself in a very feminine, submissive manner in general. I have had comments from men who are acquainted and strangers about how refreshing it is to have a woman who is comfortable with having men "do" for her in 2015. Meaning open doors or get/do things for me, help me with whatever. And in turn I have had other women express jealousy at the differences in the ways we are treated.

I understand that it is very difficult for some of us (I'll speak for black women) to relinquish control in any aspect of our lives because there is a fear of handing over "control" to someone who doesn't deserve or does not have the best interest of the twosome at heart. But this is where I say that we have to start choosing better men and not being tolerant of unacceptable behaviors. We need to select men who are worthy of following and allow them to lead.
