This is sus. Correlation in a small sample study and it doesn't really take into account other extraneous variables like focus on media and celebrity cultures impact on it's impact on interest in taking a cognitive test. Just because you do poorly on a cognitive test doesn't mean you're dumber. It could indicate 1) care less about taking the test; 2) care less about performing well on the test; 3) may have some other type of focus at the time of the test [like a celebrity or just you're in constant zone out mode]. I also wonder if people obsessed with celebrity culture are just using it as another form of drug or way to avoid the real world. People who are looking for outlets for zoning out probably have an entirely different disposition towards taking a test because that's real world stuff. Maybe they are dumber but maybe they just are more dissociated from the task itself because they want to avoid it.

Yep. I been known this since high school.

TLR posters hate being called out for their lack of empathy and overall worldly intelligence.

Is this just scientists trying to pat themselves on the back for not knowing who Taylor Swift is? Do they know that nobody likes them because they have the personality of an NNN Transistor
