It may fail like 3d TVs though.
Plus there is debate in the tech sector and how big the TV really needs to be for 4k to have benefits for home use

But the Asians are already testing 8k broadcasts :merchant:

Nah 3D has always been a gimmick that has weaved in out of popularity for the past 50 years.

4k I just the natural evolution of pixel density, but you are absolutely correct, the issue is whether or not enough content will be shot at a 4k resolution to warrant it. As of today, 99% of broadcast intended content is shot in "HD" in the US isn't even 1080p. It's almost entirely 720p and 1080i (PPV events being the sole exclusive).

Regardless, buying a ~55inch+ TV at 1080p is just silly now. The pixel density would be too low for such a large viewing space. I have a 60 inch TV right now (I regret it) and I'm just waiting for 4k to drop in price to replace it :yeshrug:

Not only that but 4k detractor's like to toss around a chart that shows viewing distance vs screen size. Says you need a 100 inch to see 4k benefits or something

yeah now that part...... is certifiable bullshyt.

Source: My human eyes.

I have a 4k setup at home on my personal machine for digital art, and it is night and day difference from my 1080p, 1200p, and 1440p monitors

Those people just like to throw out data from the ass. Like "Human eyes cannot see more than 24 frames a second." :why:

Believe human vision works like a camera brehs :mjlol:

The 00's feel like the 80's to me. Like they feel like our generations 80's. Just like clothes in the 80's were so tacky and outlandish that by the 90's, 80's fashion was already viewed as outdated. That's the same way I view the 00's. All sorts of multi-colored Tall-Tees, dikkies, Girbauxs, doo-rags, huge outlandish chains, forces, extremely baggy jeans, hoodies with those dragon designs, girls wearing basketball jersey dresses, shirts with you and your girls spray-painted portraits that were done at the mall, dog tag chains, extreme sagging of jeans, and tacky stunna shades were all doomed to go out of style and be seen as dated basically as soon as the clock turned to January 1st 2010.
