If you are in hell you want to drag people down with you.

So you're fine with four more years of Trump and decades of white supremacists on the Supreme Court because misery loves company? :why:

I ain't gonna let Trump do shyt. YOU Democrats are the ones who put him in office by holding the water for Wall Street, the prison complex, drone wars everywhere, and focusing on partisan wins while doing a shytty job of actually addressing people's real concerns, then putting forth a terrible candidate that no one liked and who ran a terrible campaign that completely disrespected the people who she wanted to vote for her.

And this fear-mongering. Trump has put ONE fifty-year-old dude in the Supreme Court, he ain't no "open White Supremacist" and he probably ain't gonna be there for 40 years. Hell, one of the worst Supreme Court Justices for a minute now is a Gullah-speaking Black man from Georgia. :snoop:

The Supreme Court in modern history has almost never even made any laws that directly harmed Black people, it has only opened up loopholes by which the rest of society can do stupid shyt...and if the rest of society is that bent on doing stupid shyt, then we're screwed whether the Supreme Court opens up those loopholes or not. You have to be thinking about changing the whole system and the whole direction of things, not selling yourself out for the status quo just to hope that'll buy you another political appointment or two.

1. I'm not a Democrat. I just think now is not the fukking time for black people to sit at home and not exercise their political power.

2. The Supreme Court has never made laws that directly harm black people because the Supreme Court doesn't make laws. :mjlol:

But they've most certainly made decisions and rulings that have.

But that said, I'm off it. If you're fine with black folks staying home and not voting while the GOP rolls back civil rights, because at least it's not the "status quo", you got a right to your opinion. :hubie:

My question is simply this: If Democrats want black people to show up to vote, then why not address our issues? Why only pander and give us crumbs? The only set of Democrats to be putting anything forward that's worth voting for in terms of the Black community is Progressives. Classical Dems haven't said anything worth voting for aside from "Trump is bad".

I'm not fine with it. I voted for Hillary but don't you wonder why he won? The Dems strategy was that bad. Instead of finding a new one they want to act like they did nothing wrong and people are just crazy all of a sudden.

Here's the thing: I don't disagree with you about Democrats addressing black issues and not taking black voters for granted. I actually voted Bernie in the 2016 primary, and am all for voting for progressives in this years primaries.

But quite franky, it's true that Trump IS bad (seriously, he is) and he needs to be put in check. Staying at home during the general election is not in any way in the black community's interest.

Well, there are a lot of reasons Trump won -

1. Hillary being a poor candidate in general and not campaigning enough in the midwest
2. Russian interference and propaganda (they had all kinds of anti-Hillary facebook groups and shyt encouraging black voters to not vote)
3. Worldwide rise of white nationalism/authoritarianism (we saw the same thing with Brexit)
4. White people being worried about demographic change
5. Electoral College

I don't really disagree with the criticisms made of the Dems, I just think that with current events being what they are, staying home in 2018 or 2020 is just not a good idea.

Don't forget -
6. Pissing off black people. (putting that mildly)
7. Media giving Trump billions of dollars of free advertising

Cool. But let me add:

6. Dems having a Republican light incremental platform
7. Politicians on both sides being bought and paid for
8. The media giving Trump free promotion
9. The media telling the public over and over Hillary has it in the bag
10. Every poll telling the public Hillary had it in the bag

And really, I just don't believe facebook groups had any tangible effect. That's Dems just not owning their failure.

this is bullshyt, she won the popular vote by 3 million, she lost because what like less than 100k people combined voted for trump in 3 midwest states and pennsylvania. stop blaming 3rd parties, shyt if everything was on the up and up bernie wouldve won and trounced trump and instead of settling for hillary wed have the best president in eyars policy wise.

Hilary used the pied pipr strategy to prop up trump, hilary had questions pre debate on cnn, the dnc funneled all the money to hilary, changed voters that were registered dems to independents on some shady shyt coincidentally in pro bernie districts. etc etc

she didnt even campaign at all in the midwest and thats where she lost the election period. this idea she lost cause of teaching a lesson is nonsense.

its like in 2000 they blamed nader literally for one state florida which Gore on all 17 recounts won the state but foxnews just declared himt he winner and the left in typical fashion bowed down and didnt want to be behind on the "scoop" i guess and just reported based off foxnews, then they thought it wouldve been a riot if they said yeah actually gore is president. but somehow it was nader, the logic is just garbage. and im not saying dont vote Hilary or dont at the end of the day vote lesser of two evils but the lesson isnt blame people that wanted an actual gov official doing their job and not being a corrupt immoral piece of shyt.
