No one is trying to get in a pissing contest with a dude who spend literally all day posting on this board and can't obviously be employed. Most people didn't have much knowledge about Bernie Sanders before 2016. Everyone knew Hillary clinton. Who once again, lost.
im at work so where are you?

How is that even a response?

You claim to have political insight but didn’t know a guy who has been in Congress longer than you’ve been alive.

I see me exposing your novice opinions hit a nerve.

Go play, little boy.

I didn't know who Bernie Sanders was before the primary campaign to be honest, and personally didn't have a full picture of who he was until well into the primary voting.

I'm sure I'm not alone. Not saying he had no political history or just walked in on from the street but the fact his share of polling support saw a steady increase from basically being unknown, nationally, to almost being neck to neck with Clinton at the end is a sign of name recognition along with support increasing during the primary season.

Clinton came in with 60% of the support and Bernie around 10% when polling for the primary season begun . Meaning the bulk share of his voters settled on him during he primary. Not before it .

That's all fine and well, but we should be consistent. If we fault Hillary for not campaigning well in the midwest and reaching out to voters who weren't aware or felt invigorated then shouldn't we hold Bernie to those same standards.

  • He announced his candidacy in April 2015
  • The first primary was in February 2016
  • Super Tuesday was on March 1, 2016
Seems like he was out-campaigned by Hillary in the primary. :yeshrug:

Meant to add I don't disagree it's on his campaign to not have built up his name recognition before the primary or during the early part of it.

I think I give off the impression in my posts that I firmly believe in taking responsibility for your own failures so yeah definitely that's the fault of his campaign.

for starters,he portrayed himself as anti-establishment to a country that was sick of the establishment, against the most establishment candidate that's ever run in this country. that's why he won :yeshrug:
What about Trump's platform isn't Freedom Caucus?

this is gonna turn into the "takeover vs ether" of HL :dead:

it's pretty disgusting that you cant admit that she bought and paid for the 2016 nomination in 2008. we all know it's true, i dont understand why you feel the need to act as if that primary was not a foregone conclusion. her receipt is dated the night she conceded to obama in 2008, (after hoping he got assassinated)

We can agree. I say this over and over and you referenced a couple things I reference. Bernie had a late start compared to Hillary and had to overcome the difference in name recognition. But to me, more so than making it about Bernie vs Hillary ( i really don't care at this point), I wish we could discuss why democrats unlike their republican peers aren't as involved in the primaries and midterms.

We'll see in Nov 2018, but saying you're unaware or there aren't options to get excited about isn't an excuse anymore.

breh, trump's entire platform is a sham. we all know that he's not anti establishment, he's just another rich white criminal businessman. he also used white america's racism to play them like a fiddle, which was disgusting

none of that negates my answer to his question though. he presented himself as "fukk the system" and it worked. he went up against a career criminal politician who couldn't even stand on a debate stage with a straight face and act like she wasnt. so he won :yeshrug:

What did she buy?
How did she pay for it in 2018?

She didn't wrestle control of the bankrupt DNC until 2016 :heh:.

Hillary was a high profile candidate who remained in politics and held her aspirations after losing to Obama. So now we are blaming her for acting on her presidential aspirations early? :wtf:

All of this despite the Benghazi Hearings? :rudy:

Yea, you're just making excuses for others not making a splash early on. :umad:
