here's my question: how come people only talk about giving hillary the green party votes? How come they dont talk about giving Trump all the libertarian votes?

The libertarian votes traditionally take from the Republican votes, and the Green Party takes from the democrat. So how come we only wanna give Green Party votes to Hillary

This is basic algebra: what you do to one side, you do to the other. So if we add all the Green votes to Hillary, won't we have to do the same and add the the Libertarian votes to Trump?

If that's the case, Trump would've still won, right?

I wonder of Ms. Cortez would be for reparations for Black people?? I like her positions though. The only position I disagree with is ICE - I believe it needs to be reformed, not abolished.

https://edition.cnn.com/videos/poli...ia-ocasio-cortez-abolish-ice-newsroom-sot-vpx. cnn (space needed because link isn't working properly)

She explains it pretty well. Basically abolish ICE and replace it with something that's not extra-judicial in nature (ex. a competent INS).

the black cat is my crown...
Supreme Court seat wide the fukk open after Scalia drops dead.

But people who obsessed over:

1. Whatever Hillary did in Haiti
2. Whatever Hillary did in Libya
3. Whatever Hillary said about super predators in a room full of minorities
4. Whatever law Bill Clinton passed in 1994 that most of the country supported
5. Some bullshyt about Hillary's emails
6. Because the your favorite politician didn't win the primaries

Anybody that obsessed over these things to justify not voting for Hillary in a crucial election is an idiot. Uneducated. Remedial. Period.
i partially agree with you.... hillary was a terrible candidate, however i voted for her because i felt she was far more competent and far closer to our agenda than trump.... also, i was thinking about the SCOTUS appointment too...

there is another pathway for us in 2018 though.... what we need to do is push for the most pro-black progressives to win in state legislative and governor seats around the country, and in the u.s. house and u.s. senate... for 2020, we must push for the most pro-black progressive to win the primaries... there are two benefits to this... if our choice wins then we go into the general with a candidate we can be fired up to support... the other benefit is in the event that candidate loses the primary, he or she still pushes the party further left....

in 2020 we should support whoever the dem nominee is... but a large chunk of our motivation to support that person should be because we submerged ourselves int he primary process to ensure who wins the dem nomination was someone who we can align with.....

let's move forward and end the hillary vs. bernie wars....!

So letting Trump staff the Supreme Court with a bunch of open white supremacists that'll be on there for 40 years is in our self interest? :why:

doggy, I don't disagree with you but it's the campaign manager's job to drive points like these home to get votes. relying on the common person to be informed and to think beyond the day to day stresses they have is bad strategy.

You refuse to acknowledge that people just wanted Trump because of who and what he is.

what does that have to do with the people that didn't vote (aka what this thread is about)
the assumption is dems lost because of voter apathy.
now people are talking about the consequences (SCOTUS picks, etc)

my point was that if you're a campaign manager you need to SELL that fear to get people at the polls. that didn't happen. there was a resounding belief that Hillary had it in the bag.
