I don’t think it’s the engineer, just how Styles raps now.
Go listen to any of Styles music or d block/L.O.X. from 2006 or prior… Styles rap voice is noticeably higher pitched and different than his og voice
His voice has been pitched higher since after Time Is Money era

I know Lloyd Banks said his voice was never as deep as it was on his old raps and what you hear now is just his normal voice, and it was uncomfortable to force his voice that deep for so long. I wonder if it's the same situation with Styles.

I like the production on this and the last SP solo more than the last Lox joint though.
I definitely agree there's a generic quality to it, though. Like...it sounds like less good versions of beats that they could be getting.
I'd kill for Styles or any of them or as a group if they'd just lock in with a someone like V Don. Sounds way better at the type of beats they're using, and would probably love to work with any of them. And they did a joint or two before.
That’s pretty interesting, but I doubt that’s the case for Styles. Cuz if you listen to Styles regular speaking voice, it sounds pretty much identical to his old rap voice.
But I guess he must have some level of comfort rapping that way

Didn’t listen to this yet and I’m not really intrigued to do so because of the reason you said. Styles always has wack production on his own projects.
