No need to cape for people who no longer wanted to live.

Killing yourself as an able bodied, able mind person in the most powerful nation on the planet baffles me. With all of the technology and access to healthcare don't see why mental illness/depression is not addressed, especially by a culture who prides itself on keeping it real. First World problems perhaps. Troy made a dikk comment but I am not a sensitive person. Death is apart of life and that is reality. If the death was accidental, someone's kid who was hit by a drunk driver, I could understand the outrage but it was voluntary. I have had several friends and relatives attempt or complete suicide, even talking one homie through an overdose over a breakup. Eventually had to drop him because he became too emotionally draining and self destructive.

Sorry for Styles P loss but Troy's comment had nothing to do with him and I hope that he heals. De-institutionalization, starting the in the 70s, was the worst thing they could have done to America.

If u wanna take what other people dealing with and apply it to urself. Than u can do that across the board. UR issues and the way u handle it is on u. That's as simple as saying. "There's people in Africa starving and u complaining about this and that". The fukk does the people in Africa starving have to do wit ur situation? Alotta suicides stem from a mental illness. The way these people think ain't the same as a rational normal thinking person. A normal persons thinking "imma stay alive cause people need me in their life and love me". Suicidal depressive person. "Imma kill myself because the people I love are better off without me." The train of thought is completely different. And Capital Steez was like 18 years old I believe. nikka was still a kid basically. Troy is a grown ass man. Him goin on the radio and wilding out on somebody he doesn't know and ain't here to defend himself for basically no reason is uncalled for. shyt wasn't that deep in the first place.

Great post. Mental illness is not rational. That's why things such as cognitive therapy are huge in terms of dealing with it & why so many therapists advocate it because it's a coping mechanism used to derail irrational mental habits. When i was seeing a therapist for a bit we'd talk about my self esteem issues and she wanted me to consciously make the effort to direct my negative self perception and thoughts by mentally going through times in my life I felt good about myself.
