NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
There's code of ethics that goes deeper than rap. So according to you one can make a song where he talks about his man raping his opponents daughter :camby:.

This is fukking entertainment using a teenage hipsters death, people's kids and on to entertain people is pure bytchassness.
"if you got a daughter older 16. Imma rape her.." -DMX.
"take ya daughter to R Kelly have my way wit her face. " -Cam'Ron
"Ya momma ya daddy that bytch u chasin, ya lil dirty ass kids, I'll fukkin erase em.." -50 Cent.
"Left condoms on ya baby seat.." Jay-Z

Difference is this was all kept on wax. And kept within the artform. That being said Even Cam apologized to Nas for his line. So did Jay-Z. But none of them nikkas took it to an interview and did what Troy Ave did. Troy is a complete fukkin clown.

Yea. Gotta rock wit troy ave on this.

I fukk wit styles but cmon, this a rap battle b. Even battle rap nikkas have gotten away wit talking sideways about dead homies. Cortez vs. Hollohan comes to mind.

So what? just cause ya daughter gone u the suicide police? No disrespect.
But that's corny. I feel ya pain tho Styles.

Edit: nvmd he wasn't talking about the song

Gotta be honest though, certain things in rhyme should be taboo. Jay's mom made him apologize to Nas over Superugly, and I didn't agree with him needing to apologize. Certain things though should be taboo IMO and what Roland said about dude who jumped, was out of pocket. He didn't throw that bar out there just to have a slick line, or because this was Hip Hop. No, that was a suck my dikk moment. It was a nut check. If I'm in Joey's shoes, Troy Ave has to get touched. He has to. I don't have a dog in this fight either way, and I want to put hands on him for just being a cornball. Still, keeping it on wax, reminds me of the old 50 line which is classic to me, "You mention me in your rhyme you better watch what you say. You get carried away, you can get carried away." Or like Banks put it, "the wrong punchline can have nikkaz inside of your house." Troy Ave went there, and there has to be repercussions.

You would have a point if Styles P was commenting on the diss, his comments were sparked by Troy's interview with Sway, that went beyond bars or lyrics.
Fair enough. Though the distinction being pointed out seems quiet minuscule imo. I mean, Troy stating that Joey's man is burning in hell for suicide on wax sounds just as offensive as the interview he gave with Sway. But again, I guess Style looks at it differently.

Takes more courage to ignore millions of years of evolution than it does to pop another person.

Every suicide is a failure of society to provide proper mental health care or a decent life to its members.

It is better to blast the people oppressing you than it is to kill yourself though. :yeshrug: Suicide is a tragic thing.
Mental health is not talked about much in the black community. It needs to be talked about more.

If he is trying to DISRESPECTFUL aka DISS and YES ABSOLUTELY....That's the FOCKEN POINT...Disrespect is when you step outside the "code of ethics"...
Jay Z left used condoms on Nas' babysit...That is borderline pedophilia...

There is NO WAY of disrespecting someone without stepping outside the "code of ethics"...When you are within the "code of ethics" then you are being critical and/or voicing your opinion/facts...

I feel you, I disagree but I feel you. Troy to me has the right to cross whatever line he wants as long as he prepared for the consequences. He figured jba ain't gon do shyt so I'm gone go at his neck. Got no problem wit that.
Joey came at troy first.

Joey can either come back on wax or go see him.

But the people on the sideline shouldn't be up in arms in my opinion.

Because you're given two choices and you've taken the easy way out. Coward shyt.

You can deal with whatever it is that you're suicidal over, fix the problem, fight through it, wait it out even until it gets better. Or you can just quit.
Ive been through that and i must say that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

The problem is that black people are held to impossible standards in an inherently racist society fueled by white supremacy. One of them is black men got to be strong and all that and hold back our feelings for fear of looking weak.

Amongst others....depression, anxiety, bpd, etc are seen as "only for white people" so that leads young black men and women to bottling their feelings up cause they feel they have no one to talk to.

Suicide amongst young black males has been on the increase in the past couple of years.

Many of these lives could of been saved if they felt thwy weren't going to be ostracized for having mental illness or dealing with emotional disorders. And were able to seek treatment.

Jay got mad shyt for that line, 50 isn't talking about raping or doing some disgusting shyt to someone he's saying that he'll kill anyone that Ja Rule loves calling them dirty was a bytch ass move, Cam's shyt was just weird why would anyone say that about a 6-7 year old :what: and DMX was not going at anyone.

Again. Why do people keep bringing up faceless Styles P lyrics. Not the same. And he's not talking about the Troy Ave song. He's talkin about the interview.
